EditorI’ve been a writing coach, editor, and private tutor since 2013, and have worked with clients at every stage of the writing process - from the blank page to the final draft. Some of these projects include: novel and memoir manuscripts, college and graduate school admissions materials, academic papers and book chapters, and artist statements. I have a particular interest in helping people in creative fields find the words to tell their stories.

A former member of the editorial staff in The New Yorker's fiction department, I have experience working in both fiction and nonfiction, and prize my ability to help writers distinguish their projects in a crowded marketplace. In my own writing, I cover art, design, fashion, books, technology, and culture.

I’ve taught composition and visual culture at Parsons School of Design, and creative writing at The New School and the University of Cambridge. I hold an MFA in creative nonfiction from Columbia University, where I was a Creative Writing Teaching Fellow and Writing Center Instructor. For more on my academic teaching, click here.

In addition to writing, I host the podcast, Non-toxic, dedicated to connecting the dots between the manosphere and atmosphere. Each episode explores the ways climate change and masculinity intersect, featuring conversations with researchers, artists, scientists, journalists, and everyday
guys on topics ranging from why incels are obsessed with alphas to how manosphere Youtube influencers are pivoting to climate disinformation.

As many researchers have argued, climate change is not really a technological issue, and we can’t just invent our way out of it. The
problem is a lack of political will to change the way our societies are
organized and the way we relate to the earth. To make an effective political intervention, we need to
start with culture.
To support the show, visit our Patreon and become a patron today. With tiers as low at $5 per month, it’s easy to help detoxify the discourse. If you’re interested in our cover art, it’s based on a painting by Sam Creasey. Our theme music was written and performed by Nathan Sharp.
